Dissertation writing is usually perceived as one of the daunting task in the academic journey. How can I write my dissertation is the common question that many students often ask. Most students normally find it difficult to write a paper that suits all the requirements put across by instructors in ensuring that the content and style are in tandem. What you also need to know is that every detail you incorporate on the paper may be effective but you have to ensure that they follow a logical sequence.
Title– Your paper must have a title. It is essentially the subject regarding what you are researching on or what you necessarily want to reveal or describe. It presents you with the opportunity of informing the reader about what the research is all about.
Abstract- it refers to the short summary of what the entire paper is all about. Apparently, it is the shortest section of the paper but ideally very significant because it guides the reader in understanding what the paper is all about, how it is structured and other several aspects.
Table of content– it is vital to ensure that you provide readers with a guide of how the paper is structured especially for quick navigation if need be. This area helps the readers in finding the particular part that they need relatively fast.
Introduction– this is the section that is vital for setting the paper by providing guidance on what you are interested in writing. Essentially, it helps in expanding the material that has been briefly explained in the summary and also acts as a signpost of the rest of the paper.
Literature review– Again, this is the fundamental section of the paper that must be included in a dissertation. Most importantly, it helps in showing that you indeed have the knowledge to base your research on. It helps in elucidating the research questions as well as explaining the aims or objective of the study.
Methodology– the aim of this chapter is to help in giving account of every detail in regards to methods that you are planning to use in conducting and compiling the research. You must vividly describe the processes and equipment that you will use to also help in guiding future researchers on the same or related subject in carrying out their study.
Findings- this is the section that gives out important information about the results that you have derived from the study. Findings help you in understanding the particular information that you wanted to know regarding the study.
Discussion– it is a section where a comprehensive review about the entire paper is carried out. It allows you to refer to all the other sections of the paper just to ensure that you get an inclusive analysis of various elements of the paper. It helps in expanding the knowledge as well as understanding how to best deal with a number of unlikely circumstances.
References– you have to acknowledge the sources that you have used in conducting the research. It is helpful because it prevents you from committing plagiarism. However, you must be careful when it comes to structuring this particular section.
